Main character Alice unbearable.

I know Alice was messed up from what happened to her but I couldn't feel bad for her and didn't even like her at all. The character had no qualities that made her likeable. Then she slept with a young teen and completed full circle.

She was definitely not a likable person, I don't think she was supposed to be.

She was deeply flawed, she had casual sex encounters in order to regain the control that was taken from her when she was a teenager. She tried to reach out to her parents and they betrayed her, saying that she was lying, literally everyone that was supposed to protect her and care for her had let her down, so that doesn't exactly amount to a well-balanced individual.

I really cringed at the moment when her friend came home to realize she slept with the teenage babysitter, it's almost unforgivable, she did the same thing to him that was done to her. She should have been receiving mental health counseling from the moment that her parents found out about the abuse, except they didn't believe her, and they didn't care about her mental health at all. I mean if your daughter tells you that a man more than twice her age has abused her, at the very least take her to a psychologist, because that's not something that a teenager in her right mind makes up.

She was supposed to be likeable, but the script that was written for her was weird, self-contradictory rubbish, which didn't help much.
