Yeah, well "Back to the Future" is pretty corny and far-fetched but it is also a brilliantly conceived story. Those characteristics alone don't disqualify any movie.

Back to the Future is a science fiction/fantasy movie though. This one isn't.

This movie is way less far fetched than that. Why are you more accepting of sci-fi than something that could actually happen?

It was a strange mixture of corniness and crassness. Too much sap and too many crude jokes for my taste. Mostly I found the writing deplorable; I could see the screenwriter wallowing in the "clever" dialogue, but I could never see anyone ever uttering these lines in real life. But I loved the Snow Patrol songs. 4/10 stars from me.
