WTF??

Courteney Cox directing. Is this her first crack at directing?

reply

She has directed alot of episodes of Cougar Town

reply

Thx for the info. I've seen 2½ seasons of "Cougar Town" but missed that completely.

reply

It's cool that she is directing a major motion picture.

reply

She did a damn fine job.

reply

I think she did a great job, it was as slick as something directed by an experienced director.

Directing is kind of like umping a baseball game. If you don't know the ump's name after the game he did a good job. Same with directing. Not once did I even think about the directing. So she did a good job.

My only problem was with some of the writing. Felt like some characters were just there to move the plot along. I know that may sound weird since that is the characters main job, lol, but some of the things they were doing felt like "Hey, I wouldn't normally do this but we've got to get to act 3, so I'm doing this thing now!"

reply

You could definitely tell this was her first movie because it was total garbage.

reply

No it wasn't.

I was very surprised seeing her name as the director in the credits too. Pleasently surprised though I must add - I had the feeling that I just had watched something very heartfelt and somehow it fit to Courtney Cox.

She also directed the TV movie, " TalHotBlond," which starred Garret Dillahunt--who plays Lucky in this film. I think Cox does a pretty good job, and with more experience could be quite excellent. No need to diss her--I personally think for a freshman effort and hardly a blockbuster expense account, she did fine.
