7 production companies involved with logos at beginning

It's a bad sign when there are 7 different production company logos that appear one after another before you ever see any of the film.

Once this film starts there are another 6 or 7 that are overlays.

while an enjoyable little film with Hanks being is usual quality self, wait until this film is streaming because it's not really worth $15.

Dr. Who is to entertainment what Special Olympics is to athleticism.

Just to let people know: I disagree. This is a fascinating film about a man out of his element but determined to succeed at all costs. A gentle, sensitive soul, you really want the Tom Hanks character to succeed: he deserves to.

And you're more than welcome to, you should be encouraged. Your opinion, your voice.

This is pretty common for movies made outside of the American studio system, especially in Europe.

Yes I noticed that. Just means that the money came from more than one source. It happens.

I suspect the OP is trying to say the investors themselves didn't have faith in the movie so they are spreading the risk around.

That is sometimes the case, but there are other reasons it happens.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw the start.

I've actually been wondering about this as I've been seeing more and more movies that are having more and more logos appearing at the start of films lately but this one takes the cake.

ROTFL! My thoughts exactly!

When I saw the litany of production companies involved I immediately thought: oh boy that is NOT a good sign.

Every time that happens the movie ends up being rubbish. Even more so when a star is in it because this means that even with a movie star you couldn't get this thing financed!

Quality wise, it's watchable just kinda boring and goes nowhere. If it weren't for Tom Hanks likability I think it would be quite unwatchable. It's definitely not worth 15 bucks. More like a made for TV movie on O or something. Verdict: Meh! [shrug]
