Which movie is this reminiscent of?

Our Brand is Crisis comes to mind on a very superficial level.
But does this feel similar to any other movies?
I feel like it does but I can't think of anything.

ALL OF THEM!

West Side Story

Romeo and Juliet

Take one character and throw in unfamiliar situation, add one romance which is forbidden or will go against establishment, add PC themes, a framing device, cook with PC seasoning of the current year, and make the popcorn.

From the trailer, I'm getting a "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" vibe

I only saw the trailer but there's a clip in there that is a verbatim rip off of a scene from Three Kings.

It reminded me a bit of Up In The Air.

This movie is like "Lost in Translation".
However, against the backdrop of Saudi society, it is very difficult to believe this sort of thing could ever take place.

Came to say this.

Both movies take a traveler in a strange land, at a strange time in their lives (middle age is kinda freaking weird), and put them through some minor tribulations. Both movies have a love interest from a different walk of life (age in Lost, culture in this one). Both movies portray the flaws of the host society, while simultaneously making the viewer appreciate it's beauty and want to see more.
