Was it a one time deal or will it be a nightly horror people will have to face? The title suggests that it was just one singular night ans opposed to plural nights. What do you guys think?

I laughed when I heard Cameron Frye say that the zombie attacks stop during daylight. It's like the writer just didn't know how to end the movie
shareThat wasn't about ending the movie it was about how these zombies behaved in this world. Just like the vampires in The Last Man On Earth. There are also a lot of zombie movies out there that have the zombies only coming out at night.
In those movies the survivors have to forage during the day and hide at night. That leads me to believe that there might be a sequel where we see these characters doing just that and meeting other survivors along the way. It's typical of this genre.
I got the impression that the zombies will reanimate every night until the survivors find a way to permanently prevent them from rising. Here's an easy way to do just that: shoot the corpses in their heads during the day. But that would be too easy and make too much sense for characters in a horror movie. LOL
