Wasn't the little kid Nate bitten when the zombie babysitter/maid pulled him into the room where she was locked in before he let her out?

If so, shouldn't he have died and turned as a result? Did I miss something here?

He was alone with two zombies for a good few minutes and he only got his neck slightly nibbled. He should have been torn to pieces.
