I absolutely loved this film. It's hilarious, best comedy I have seen for ages. 10/10. It's the attention to detail and insignificant bits that made it. Well done all.

I went in with little in the way of expectations. But, actually, I really enjoyed it... It's untidy and really quite silly. But, it's original, genuinely funny and surprisingly sweet - I liked it a lot... As I was literally the only person in the cinema, I'm assuming it's not getting the audience it deserves, which is a real shame.

Well, I'm glad the film got made and I hope it finds its audience in digital format. Specifically, I hope it finds ME. The HH TV series never came out in the U.S. on DVD (I'm not sure it was ever shown on broadcast or cable TV here, though you can get the Terry Deary books) but I was able to buy Series 1-3 as downloads. I hope they release "Bill" digitally here too.

Fans of Monty Python and Blackadder will definitely appreciate this film.
The jokes land when they should and the anachronistic plot satisfies both Shakespeare and Marlowe fans.
Like Monty Python, Bill doesn't take itself too seriously which is more than I can say for recent comedy films...

Owes a lot to Python (Monty), though doesn't quite have the same edginess, unfortunately.
