What made this film so bad?

While watching I was really trying to figure out what made this film into such a hot mess. But it's reall hard. Who do you think is most at fault here?

Sophomoric screenplay. Directors and actors can only do so much with poor material. The dialog is lackluster, and the storytelling is clunky.

The writers and director. It's just a super generic/poorly made B-movie with some good performances.
