First one sucked this one was a good B-movie

Excellent for what it is. This movie is essentially a chase film with Frank Grillo playing the mysterious hero perfectly. Sure it's predictable that he was avenging a family member and inherently good but the transition from gritty to caring about the strangers was pretty cliche in a good way. The purge concept itself is stupid and a plot device but the plot provided was good enough for what it is. Enjoyable popcorn flick
