why was this movie so bad?

im actually surprised to see the comments here saying this was better than the past movies when this one was the worst out of the all 3.

1st and 2nd movie was good
3rd was ok-ish not horrible but not really great.

this movie was so boring, you think after almost 4 years (since this was released in december) it would actually be watchable.

there was no IAN
boring as i mentioned above
and they made the CGI effects cheaper for some reason. glad to know this will be the last due to the fact this was the lowest grossing chipmunk movie.
