I don't see why not. The last two made lots of money. I'd love to see them use the time machine they have and it drops them in an alternate reality where the Zin never attacked and earth is still in tact, but where the Saints had all been killed off in Saints Row 1 and all the old gangs took over, as well as some new ones and now the Saints crew must take back the streets.
And because it's an alternate reality there can be some sci-fi stuff that we don't have in the real world (basically like season 3 of Fringe). Also it could be that our Shaundi dies, but they discover that Alternate Reality Shaundi is still alive and she joins the Saints. Also Aisha is alive in this timeline.

Volition had already said SR IV is the last "proper" SR game in that particular series.
It's the end of that storyline.
Now there is a Saints Row Gat Out Of Hell coming in 2015 . But it's a stand alone expansion to SR IV and not a sequel.
I think there will be more "proper" SR games in the future, but I wouldn't be surprised if they hit the reboot button.
And so, God came forth and proclaimed widescreen is the best.

Oh I hope they make it.. My 11 year old daughter loves playing Saints row too. She is really awsome making characters and making them match nicely. I suppose its that Sims generation..
