Why not just use stick shift cars?

Drives me crazy in movies when the cars have automatic transmissions, but they keep showing the driver "shift" during a car chase. In one scene the guy clearly shifted into reverse in the jump cut, even though the car kept going straight.

Just get cars with stick shifts if that's the style you want to show.
