Me too! It's been used in a film before, but I can't for the life of me remember what film! Hoping someone remembers as it's most melancholy.
shareA lot of stuff they used in season 1 was by english composer Michael Nyman. Maybe that one is one of his as well.

shareThanks for saying Michael Nyman! I kept thinking of Julianne Moore... And sure enough, the music is from one of my favorite films, The End of the Affair, 1996. Julianne Moore co-stars with Ralph Feinnes. Lovely score by Nyman.
