The Hailstone episode.

I really enjoyed the heck out of this episode. Chip and Agnes really seem to like/love each other. And I love it when she goes, "Yee!"

The kids seem nice, if a little camera-shy. They're not girly-girls, so that's a big plus. The scene where the little one got hurt by the trap tugged at my heart strings -- she was trying so hard not to cry. You gotta love kids like that.

Great episode -- a big, loving family (hopefully).

I agree Uncle Rob. It was a fascinating look into a culture that may be disappearing. When Chip first met Agnes and they married, he resolved to learn all he could from the elders and embrace their way of life. Then he was never afraid to try things and figure it out to suit his own style.

Like Agnes said, her people are hunters. They learn from the elders and pass the knowledge to the next generation. The children (daughters) are getting the education they need to be self sufficient. It is a beautiful thing how Chip and Agnes are providing the essence of the tribal culture to their children.

The daughters as they reach marriage age will be looked upon as some very desirable mates for all the skills and knowledge they are gaining and their cheerful outlook on life in general. Hopefully they all marry well. Chip and Agnes should be very proud of their family and the job they are doing in raising the girls.
