Sue vs the guys

It is interesting to me that every third post here is someone whining about Sue. She is no more full of BS and bravado than Jessie or Glenn. It takes a certain kind of personality to survive up there. Funny how we will accept that from some people and not others.

There's a difference between surviving or waiting for someone to fly in with your supplies, perhaps that's why people seem more critical of Sue.

For me I was equally turned off by Andy as I was by Sue.

I'm glad he's gone from this show and happy that Sue is still there. I give her the benefit of the doubt more than I would ever give Andy.

It's all her pontificating about her hard life in Alaska, and life in general that gets to me, and makes wear out my FF button. She imagines herself to be the all-wise Earth Mother, and every freakin' moment is a teachable moment. Ugh.

I like her. She's being judged by a different standard here. Granted she doesn't live off the land as much as the others, her story is different. She runs a business. But still it takes a lot of balls to do what she does. Her life isn't easy. She does hunt and fish some. She isn't any more tiresome than Chip Hailstone.

I would much rather watch Sue than that crabby Andy.

Agnes Hailstone is by far my favorite person on this show. She's beautiful.
always cheerful, smart. And Jessie, the guy with the dogs, is great to watch too.

That's like saying you'd rather have diarrhea than projectile vomiting.

 Great comparison! So fitting.

I just stumbled upon the show recently, but I think Sue is awesome, along with pretty much all the rest of the cast. Many of them are clearly a bit arrogant, eccentric, and possibly nuts no doubt, but the way they live and survive is pretty damn impressive compared to the typical American existence.

And yah, obviously each of the cast's philosophies and situations are different, I'm sure the creators planned it that way to add some variety. You can't compare Sue to Glenn.
