Sue's apparent wealth.

This is not a put-down, just curiosity.
She is only 'OPEN' for guests few weeks a year, yet she has a compound as large as an Arctic Army Post.
Buildings, amenities, equipment, vehicles, fuel ... how?
How much did it cost to get all that stuff so far north? How can she maintain it?
She moves barrels of oil and gasoline around with a forklift truck.

Yes, she works hard, but ...
This is not exactly subsistence living.

I know that article said she bought the camp from who she was working for but I swear in a recent episode she said something about leasing it. Maybe she only owns a portion or the land or she was referring to the past?

There's no doubt Suzy has a fair amount of money. She bought a huge tractor -- even used those things fetch a tidy sum, drove it ten feet before she got it stuck in the snow and had to pay another tidy sum to have it hauled to Kavic.

Good point Uncle Rob. I'm wondering how she will get that behemoth piece of machinery repaired when invariably it will break down.

She'll just whack it with her sledgehammer.

Well, every time I see a reality show like this things always get a little easier on the people if there is even a grain of truth to the shows. She probably receives at least 80k a year from Nat Geo. Usually that bleeds off into the show, it would only be natural to put your money back into your life and it makes for a better show. So shes investing in her business for when the show leaves and the show.
