Ethicacy of hunting techniques

Don't get me wrong - I totally get the need to hunt and to have to kill for survival in the wild of the Alaska frontier. That one guy, Edward Hallstone I think his name is, takes it to a different level. In one episode, he incessantly tracked down and stalked a herd of oxen (I think) with a damn snow machine. He tracked them down with that machine until they were completely exhausted and no longer able to run, at which point he walked up and took a kill shot. Then, in another episode, he purposely waited for a herd of caribou to cross a river so he could shoot them while they were swimming and incapacitated. In these situations, aren't the odds unfairly leveraged against the animals by this clown who is obviously looking for the "easier, softer way" at the expense of common decency?

The Eskimos routinely shoot large groups of swimming caribou to stock up for the winter. They motor right up behind them in boats and shoot them in the head.
