Well, I was joking. Florida’s bad reputation is kind of a meme, especially its reputation as a place (I don’t know where in Florida exactly) where sex-offenders go to live.
Also, I had relatives who lived in Florida for a few years and it wasn’t nice. They moved there for work, then lost their jobs and then kind of got stuck there until other relatives loaned them some money to move away. Completely anecdotal, yes. But what I saw of (central) Florida at that time was not good.
I was sort of defending you, by the way, on the basis that I personally have never seen anything untoward in your posts and because this other poster seems a bit obsessed.

Bobby -- I was aware that FL became a laughing stock in the Bush-Gore race (the hanging chad debacle), but I've never heard any mention of it being a place "where sex-offenders go to live.
I'm glad to hear that you were intending to be funny, but I feel there are a few (just a few) subjects in this world that will never be funny.

Never heard of "Florida Man". Sorry. I HAVE heard of "Flori-duh!", though. And have listened to copious examples of same. Just never the sex-offender proliferation thing.
And gladly would I leave this discussion behind and focus on the show this board was created for -- one of my favorites. But yeah, we are in between seasons right now, so board activity will be scarce. So, unless we meet on another site somewhere, this will be goodbye. It's been nice knowing you.
