As a fan of the supernatural genre, I usually think that most shows stay on too long and become formulaic. Salem, on the other hand, left us too soon. I would have liked to see two more seasons.

shareI love it too but if you think about it, a lot of shows actually reach their peak in third season and "jump the shark" in the fourth season so at least Salem went out on a high note and left us with three strong seasons.
shareThe funny thing is, I think that the show ended perfectly. I would have added something in the middle to make up two new seasons. They could have developed some of the characters a little more. Think about who Mercy was in Season 1. Suddenly in Season 3 she was a sophisticated "woman of the night".

Really disappointed Salem finished so quick same goes for Penny Dreadful & Hannibal which are two other great horror shows cut short.
shareI like that it ended, seemingly on a high note, everything got rounded up nice enough with still some questions as the indications of the future in Salem (Anne's take over) were hinted.
