Ok brutally unfair..... Spoilers for 3x10 finale.

Ok, i watched all 3 seasons of salem. And thoroughly enjoyed wach season as there isnt much on tv that is quite the same imo.

But to do cotton like that!!. Thats some B S right there... he dis not deserve eternal damnation. Like i understand the sacrafice crap.. but after all hes done and been through, to know that ill never get another episode and to rememeber john and mary get to ride off into the sunset and mather is burning in hell for all of time.. it just doesnt seem right to end his character like that.

Anyway on a side note, i thought mary couldn't leave salem because she was resurrected by the life force of the essex witches... what happened with that?

Either Mary was brought back to life by the Countess instead of the Essex W and manipulated into think otherwise or when the countess took her life she took her curse too, but being "immortal ish" when her own daughter destroyed her body the essex w bound took place. Or something like that. It make sense to me. As for Cotton Mather I believe he got exactly what he deserved minus being the sacrifice, that he had no right to be. He knew the the word of God he was not Ignorant to it and as a leader he chose to lead his flock to destruction, he married a witch, saved her life knowing she as witch, pledge himself to the devil and deceived his congregation. Yes he better burn in hell or the story makes no sense. I don't know if there will be more episodes but if it have to end, I like this ending.

Cotton was responsible for killing many witches (innocent or otherwise). Kind of makes sense that he would be condemmed to eternal damnation for his 'crimes' by a witch.

Technically you are right. He was, should I say delivered to Samael(I believed I heard Little John be called Samael once or twice by his fallen brother I could be wrong.) by his wife, but I guess the fallen angel planned that.The twist was that Anne end up fooling even her mother and she was the one who freed him from the mirror prison other side dimension whatever that place is and took him to the house so I guess the witch won the score for team evil.

I don't think Anne deserved to win after what she did to Gloriana and her baby. I wish she hadn't killed Mercy, Hawthorne, and Isaac.

Cotton's ending was brutal. But I got the feeling if Anne does raise the devil, he will let everyone out of hell and Cotton will be freed with them. It felt like a cliffhanger ending.

Tituba got what she deserved. As did the Countess and her son.

The only happy ending was John and Mary.

I wish we could get a followup special ep. I hate that the show is over.

I didn't understand Cotton being in hell. He was a living person.. so is her going to starve, die, and remain there? Or did he die the second he entered hell and that was his spirit. So many unanswered questions.

I wondered the same thing. How does one walk into Hell alive. I honestly think the writers were like, "we're canceled, so who cares how we end it."

Seeing some of the comments about "that is unfair," I can't at all disagree. However, perhaps the finale is an excellent reminder that some things just play out unfairly..and that's a way of life.
