So I am 1:33 through 1:53 of the movie, 93min/113min = 84% through the movie.
He wakes up, he dies , he's got 10 mins, someone is trying to control people.
What is going on this movie? Please can someone explain the plot of this movie?
What is the point from the writer?
it's definitely very hard to follow in the beginning, until it is finally explained. meaning, even though you know it's some kind of mind control going on, it's still hard to catch feel for story context, since the scenes keep getting interrupted.
basically though this dude ryan is ex combat military, suffering ptsd because he chose to let his wife die in combat.
he goes to this high end treatment facility where the doctor implants remote control device in his basal ganglia so he can control ryan's body. ryan is test subject number 3 of this down low research activity, since the doctor and son's business got shut down by english regulatory agency.
they keep using ryan to put the pieces together needed to complete their master plan of world domination, which involves getting this kooky scientist to design them a virus that can distribute the remote mind control genetic configuration globally, via person to person infection. the genetic "anomaly" that the virus would create, basically acts as a receiver for the doctor and son's satellite feed, which allows them to jump into anyone's mind at any time and control them.
the doctor wants to tell everyone about it once it's distributed and make people act nice based on the threat of being taken over, or otherwise remotely decommissioned, but the son - whose idea is actually smarter - would prefer to keep it on the low, and instead just take over anyone they want anytime they want, without anyone knowing it, and effect world change that way.
problem being, son miscalculates the solar flares influence on the satellite signal, so every so often the doctor's control of ryan's body is interrupted and ryan is himself again for 9 minutes 47 seconds until the solar flare dies and the satellite is projecting again. ryan's got to learn to use those just under 10 minutes clips to stop the evil father and son's plot, save the boy, save the girl, and get control of his own life back.
