Noel Clarke has a personality of a paper bag.
If there was some other actor in his place it might have been watchable.
He isn't threatening or bad ass no matter how hard the director/producers try.

He was the director
shareHe's the reason I don't want to watch this film.
I'm an Ian Somerhalder fan, but I don't think I can handle 2 hours of Clarke in the lead role, and the last film he directed 4.3.2.1 was a Tarantino rip-off.
I am not a professional writer so please excuse any writing mistakesshare
Somerhander appeared in this film solely as a bait for Vampire Diaries fans. He is not even the lead, yet they put him in the cover. Seriously, I cannot think of too many films where the ... villain, and the villain alone, is in the cover of the film. Having watched the film this makes no sense, and it's purely due to Ian's popularity. I gave the movie 3/10 and I thought I was generous.

Somerwho?? Vampire what??
I only watched because of Ian but didn't finish it. Not very interesting and agree with op about Noel.
shareAgreed. One of the core problems of the film was the lack of charisma from the leading guy. He wasn't a believable tough guy and he also lacked any chemistry with the lead actress, who was also poor.
shareHe's great sometimes, in Kidulthood and Adulthood primarily.
But perhaps not the best choice for this movie, however he wasn't thaaaat bad.
I think he could fare well pretty good as in a drama or comedy where he wasn't 'bad ass' and didn't mean grin 75% of the movie.
A good father and a good outlaw can't settle inside the same man.
