Trailer? + fight scene direction

Any word on when a trailer of this film will be released?

The release date of the dvd/Blu-ray or download (legal I mean, via xboxlive movies etc)

The fight scene direction sounds particularly good due to noel Clarke (director) mentioning that he isn't into shaky cam.

Also like when he talked about momento + blade runner, two quality films for a low budget british sci-fi film to have as influences.

The fight direction is one of the worst things about it. It keeps going into Matrix-style slo-mo but unfortunately that just draws attention to the mediocre stunt work.

Honestly, the fight scene's were some of the worst parts of the movie. TERRIBLE!

After watching this film I have to 100% agree, it was OK at best.

The fight scenes were indeed some of the worst parts of it, he did indeed skip the shaky cam BUT instead we got the slow motion and some terrible fight choreography.

I just about got through it but honestly it was very close to not bothering at all.

Maybe 5 out of 10 but I think that is a bit generous really.

BTW I have nothing against low budget action/scifi films if done well and have enjoyed films with a similar budget but even given those restrictions this film still wasn't good.

reply

The fight scenes were there for the sole purpose of making the director / lead actor look cool and were atrocious - end of.

reply

Watching this film I didn't know the lead actor but I had a gut feeling while watching that he also directed it. It is very self indulgent and perhaps a good director might have told him many of the scenes in the film (particularly the fight scenes) weren't working. It's not impossible but it must be hard to be objective when you are the lead actor and the director. I spent most of the film with the same expression as Noel CLarke as I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on either. It also feels like he's borrowed all the best bits from his favourite films. He obviously fancied playing at being James Bond.
