Wasn't bad (spoilers)

Wasn't good either.

Definitely a lot of head scratching in this film.

The sheriff was definitely a wasted character. Made to seem like he was going to play a bigger role, but instead is instructed to blow his own head off after he puts all the pieces together. I'll chalk it up to lazy writing.

What is the fate of Nancy? The military/government clearly doesn't want any witnesses.

Nancy also says that so many have been abducted, but some are returned. I'm curious as to how that selection process works. But even though I threw it out there, I can't think too heavily into this movie for an answer to that.

That dog survived for a long time with its intestines ripped out.

Why was the high ranking Army official in his dress blues? He's in the field, not out as a DV. Yes, a silly question....

The probe scene, didn't make sense. Implant a bug, brand him, then kill him from the probing. Maybe the aliens were hoping for a test subject who can get passed the probe....as all others have failed before.

I may have missed it, but was the sheriff already on the side of the tree that blocked the road? I know the deputy wasn't....oops

Seth's girlfriend, screamed and pleaded that they should leave, first abducted...."Bad Luck Brian" was written all over her character.

Did the aliens pick up the downed UFO? No way the Army was able to break that thing down in that much time. I'll assume that the aliens did pick up the craft but the Army got scraps.

The footage the sheriff had from the convenience store, I'm pretty sure that had to have been leaked out.

Every movie has its issues, this movie was watchable and I did tolerate it. I definitely wouldn't recommend it unless you have a piqued interest in what everybody is talking about with this film.

Yeah, his ending was shocking. I figured him to play more of a role, or at least find his wife. What was the purpose of telling us all of that for nothing.

Scene served no purpose. Writer had to know we'd wonder about that one. Stupid-ssA writing for sure.

-I don't think it was supposed to be alive, but since it was, obviously, still breathing, they just added the whine rather than making a puppet?

-like I said in my post. The stump was only a foot or two from the road. drive around it!

Trees always grow at the edge of a road. The screenshot below shows that the tree disconnected from its stump in a way that fully blocked the road.

The complaint about the sheriff is totally unwarranted. people CONSTANTLY freak out during movies because of how "predictable" they are and what happens the second something unpredicatable happens? people cry because it didn't follow the logical path that it was being built up to and what they almost certainly would have cried about anyway because they saw it coming. My point is that most people, and that OP, includes you, love to bitch just for the sake of bitching.

My response had nothing to do with the sheriff.
