So far, great game. But I don't think it lives up to 'Link to the Past.'

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is my favorite entry in the series. I thought it was one of those rare games (along with Super Metroid and a handful of others) to perfect the concept of "Gameplay." It was just so perfectly constructed and so much fun. It was a joy to play.

I think A Link Between Worlds thus far for me (I just got the Master Sword and made it to Lorule, the mirror-world of Hyrule) is a great game (so far for me, it's a very good 8.5 out of 10), but I don't think it has quite reached the perfection of A Link to the Past which is a shame.

I do like the new wall-merging mechanic, and it does add a lot to the game. It is also a lot of fun to re-visit the old world from Link to the Past, and I think the gameplay is fundamentally great.

I just feel like the storyline is very rushed, and I hate the concept of "renting" your equipment. Especially when you lose it all after dying, because it creates an unneeded amount of busywork as you have to fly back to your house, then back to wherever you were. Sure, it's only an extra two minutes of work... but it's an annoying and unneeded two minutes.

But other than that, it's a blast so far, and I love it. It just doesn't live up to the previous game for me, which is a huge shame.

And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?

I personally never played a link to the past and find this game easy yet still very entertaining . I enjoy everything about it

I enjoyed the game. It was a great callback to Link to the Past.

But like you, I think Link to the Past is vastly superior.

Straightedge means I'm better than you.
