This is history?
Seriously, this is history? A 30 minute car dealership commercial peppered with Mancow's libertarian drivel. How the hell is this remotely considered history?

I miss the old History Channel, with documentaries (like Civil War Journal, which hasn't had a new episode produced in over 10 years despite the many more aspects that could be covered). It used to be one of my top five channels, now I seldom watch it. Actual history has so much to offer in the way of subject matter that delving into artificial "reality" programming is not necessary. (I'll give a pass to Pawnstars, American Pickers and American Restoration -- not because I particularly like them, but at least they provide some historical relevance.)
History Channel, please return to your roots and original mission. There's so little of such programming available unless one pays for the top tier of satellite or cable packages.
to the OP... it is not "History"... did you really expect "History" on a channel that still has the nerve to call itself HISTORY ?
mocrash... my tuner was glued to THE HISTORY CHANNEL.. I haven't watched the channel since 2007 when Nancy Dubuc took over and turned it into the cesspool of cheaply produced crap it is today.'
I don't even give a pass to the programs you mention.. for me every program on the channel is garbage... as far as the channel going back to it's original roots.. don't hold your breath.. the channel has alienated most of it's old faithful core audience... google "History Channel sucks" sometime.. those viewers are gone.. and if they would go back to their original format, the current audience of "passionate supporters" of the "toothless, inbred nitwits, SitComs" would also be gone.
This is what happens when a "History hater" is in charge of a channel called HISTORY.. the time is long past for Ms Dubuc to take down the HISTORY shingle and move on with a new name.. CRAPtv, HICKSTORY etc... as it is now, the channel is a disgrace to the word "History".

Have you been hiding under a rock? The history channel stopped the non-stop Nazi documentaries(history) a couple years ago. I am sure the ratings plummeted due to the fact that once you know what happened in WW2 the first time around you don't really care to see what happens the next 3000 times you watch the same thing. So they made the choice to change it. haha.
