This was actually an interesting storyline, but when I watched it, something just felt off. I'm not sure if it was the acting or the script writing, but it was just awkward at times. With that said, it was very well filmed with great cinematography (especially the very last shot)

My main problem was that Shay looked too glamorous for someone living in a spiritual cult like that. Her hair was perfectly waved and her make up was flawless.
Lol, I know what you mean. She is really naturally beautiful, but it's like she always has to look done up, regardless of circumstances. Troian looked more in the part.
