Wait, what!?!?

Okay, so Isla Fisher is desperately trying to find out what's going on. She consulted the winery lady, her friends, the real estate agent, the former owners of the house...she basically spends her moment of her time asking anyone and everyone for help, and no one can tell her anything.
Then, FINALLY, she runs into the Mexican woman with the charm protection thing. Isla asks her what is that? The lady says, "Protection from the evil one"...and then Isla walks away.
HUH???
Isla was dying for information the entire film, and then she finally meets someone who obviously knows something, and she just walks away!? OMG, we were laughing so hard at that ridiculous turn of events. No reaction? No follow-up questions?
