Estelle Getty's character; she was a character! She was made up to look older. My favorite is that Angela Lansbury was only three years older than Laurence Harvey in The Manchurian Candidate.

That's not really an error so much as a casting decision. They probably felt Natasha looked older.

I thought the exact same thing when watching the movie. The similar thing goes for the "Midnight Stallion" movie. In that, when Kris Kristofferson was 77 in reality, he was the father of a 19 year-old girl and his wife was a 40 year-old woman. When I was watching that movie, I thought he should have been cast as a grandfather rather than a father for the girl and a father for the wife. This definitely looks much reasonable.
