Some kinda fan fiction? This is less respectful to Austen than the P&P&Z. SMH. And who the hell did they cast as Lizzy? She looks like a grandma, seriously, and she's as bland and boring as all *beep*.

It's based on a book by PD James. If you've never heard of her, I can tell you she's a highly respected mystery writer.
Unfortunately, this is far from her best book. I preferred the adaptation to teh book.

I went into it thinking it would be something like Wide Sargasso. I just assumed that. Should have done some research before I jumped in. I just saw that Rhys and Goode were in it and I thought "this ought to be good"
yes, the script is terrible. And Matthew Rhys seems to be saying why did I ever do this?
Lizzie is not the Lizzie of Austen's novel, not even remotely. There is no fire between them, she is not attractive and why would he have ever risked everything for her?
I am stumped.
I find Matthew Rhys the one redeeming grace in this mess.
