A dozen restoration shows out there, the better ones have likeable people leading the cast like Danny on Counting Cars or Richard on Fast n Loud. Dan Short reminds you of someone that is too serious, horrible bedside manner, no charisma, just all business. He is knowledgeable and probably a decent guy, but not everyone was meant to be on tv. Expect this show to vanish by 2014.
shareGetting tired of the reality show format. Show something being done and then cut to somebody who tells you all about what you just saw a second ago. Repeat over and over and over until the hour is done. Dan is very wound up, but I guess you have to be when you're trying to squeeze some kind of profit out of a labor intensive operation. Every delay or F-up costs money.
I don't plan on watching this show unless there is nothing else to watch. At least they talk about the cost of the work done. I almost choked on my pizza when they said the final bill for the '64 Impala restoration was $97,000!

shareAgree. He whines too much about what customers want. I'm sure a lot of behind the scenes things are happening, but they make it look like this guy tells people what paint or motor they want. It's all drama brought about by a guy telling customers what they want.

That dude is running a business and giving real figures,every other show makes it look like it's cheap and easy to bring a rusty heap of shît back from the dead.His prices are high as hell because that's what it costs to turn a profit or else he couldn't do it.Danny and Richard are both rich douchebags that couldn't do the work themselves.Danny is somewhat likeable but Richard is a total knob.
