Best Sniper set up?

So I just picked up the game, and really do not like that I have to spend money to unlock a weapon I don't know will be good or not.

I tested out the sniper guns in a local play, and thought the EBR was really good...so I bought that one, and an attachment, and holy moly it almost always took me 2 - 3 shots per kill! Weako! And I wasted like..10 gold unlocks to get it! What a waste!

Then I bought the Lynx, and that doesn't seem that great either. :-( I am wasting all my money on things that I don't like.

Anyone know the best set ups for sniping? I guess I have to wait a while to get the good sniping perks too.

Think it depends what map you're playing, but I find the lynx with thermo scope is pretty good. Plenty of one shot kills although unless you're looking through the scope it's pretty much unless.
