Was IGN paid off for the Ghosts review?

It looks awfully suspicious to me. They praised the campaign while everyone else said it was terrible. And they gave it an 8.8/10 score. And this was an all platforms, not just the current-gen. Surely they were paid off to write this glowing review right?
You can't re-release the same game we've had for the last 4, 5 years and expect people to be satisfied.
