Star Wars: The Interactive Video Board Game

Not surprisingly, the film conveniently forgets Prowse's contribution to the official "Star Wars: The Interactive Video Board Game" in 1996. He donned the Vader costume along with James Earl Jones' voice and the new footage for the VHS game was shot by original Star Wars DP Gil Taylor on recreated Death Star sets. (pics exist of the older smiling Prowse in costume with the Vader mask under his arm)

Prowse also participated in the 1997 "Monopoly: Star Wars" video game. Jones and C-3PO's Anthony Daniels also contributed to this official and sanctioned release.

These don't fit the flawed "blacklisted by LFL since '83" theme of the movie and make this whole thing more absurd and less credible.

Thanks for sharing.

Good point.

good points. however, they do make clear in the documentary that it's really the marketing side of lucasfilm, and not the production side, that has shunned him. the marketing office wouldn't have had anything to do with the creation of those games.
