Dane Dehaan is not a very good actor and this cements that belief for me...I had high hopes as I am a huge James Dean fan (who isn't?) But Dane doesn't even seem to be attempting to change his voice into Deans and he doesn't look anything like him...It looks more like a (VERY) cheap imitation at best...Like Kraft Macaroni and Cheese or Coke, two American classics swapped out for "Costco brand mac and cheese" and "Diet Rite Cola".......Such a shame...PASS!

I have been a Dean fan for a long time and I am more forgiving in that he doesn't have to look exactly like him or even sound exactly like him, but I thought Dane did an excellent portrayal of who Jimmy was and was great with mannerisms. It worked for me.

I think he was horribly miscast.

Agreed. Even though he doesn't resemble James Dean much either, Robert Pattinson would've been more convincing..
