Great feminist yarn.

This film is so long overdue. A woman takes revenge on a rapist in a very smart way. The audience is duped until the end, which is a terrific way to tell a story. Great set-up; great payoff. I really enjoyed watching it unfold. If I had not read the message thread about the ending before seeing it, I would have been completely taken by surprise and thoroughly blown away. I still was a little bit. Wonderful film. Well done. Well acted. Well directed. Deserves a much higher rating. More women need to see it instead of all the guys who seem to be commenting on it here.

more women need to see it why? to think every guy out there is a rapist? this film was ridiculous in how the characters were portrayed and how the rape situation began. Besides she would be caught, so its hardly a genius plan if this is what you're hoping to inspire on anywone unfortunate enough to have been through such a horrible ordeal.

She gets away with it. Why wouldn't she? No one cares if a released felon disappears. No one is looking for him.

Plus, she's plenty smart enough to get away with it. They might suspect her but they'd never find enough evidence.

It actually really bothers me that there are men that seem so uncomfortable with this movie

I dont know why - perhaps they cant joke about the violence as they usually would but why are they not saluting the protagonist for over coming the experience by exacting a just revenge? (she castrated him)

It happens all the time metaphoricaly in prison lets not pretend it doesnt.

i agree, i loved this movie

This has nothing to do with feminism.

I like your sarcasm. At least I hope you are sarcastic. With 15 min. into the movie, you can paint the outcome in your head very clearly. For Hollywood, that is.
This is why I enjoy Hollywood, they are so far from reality, is a nice change. I mean, I dont care about European movies, as European, they are so real and their acting is so good, that I stop and say, wait a minut, I need entertainment, not real life situations, I have this everyday of my life, the better and closer to reality the movie is, the less interests me. I watch every week doc. on Discovery about abused women. This is a thing, rapists are there, growing in number. The women are victims, normal people. Not psychos. So this movie. I liked it.

i can assure you you won't be blown away by the ending any way. there are other elements in this movie that are traditional views of women, being crazy and evil seducers, actually some anti women might blame her for rape, wearing tiny cloths while meeting an almost complete stranger and invite him to her house. the director was smart by picking a skinny actress that is not much of seduction, though very beautiful, but it failed him when she was later seducing the raper. the director is arab from muslem background, and two of the producers are arab too. but i would prefer to call this post feminism.

wow YUSEF

I think the casting was accurate for this type of film. She was a perfect woman. A sociopath

Letting a man in her house did not mean she deserved to be raped did it? She was expecting someone - a man - and gg did she put up a fight

You mention arabs three times - you are correct. What I found un realistic was the people not buying her house after the event.

She's actually a psychopath, like she killed her Dad's dog to avoid inconvenience and not have to admit she couldn't look after it.
