Something that bothered me about the whole blind date thing...

...she'd never even seen a PHOTO of him? Really? Her friend had been trying to set them up for 6 MONTHS! It just seems very unrealistic (*handy for the plot*) that she wouldn't have seen some sort of photo of a potential date in all that time...

Especially in this day and age of social media. If I agreed to a blind date I would stalk them online before I agreed to it.

I agree with what you are saying however "blind lunch dates" arranged by friends are a bit more reliable making photo recognition and an internet search not mandatory assuming the meeting is in a public place. Though admit allowing a stranger show up at your home for a "date" is a serious no-no. These days I'm even suspicious of the mailman.

He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator.

That's pretty much the definition of a 'blind' date - you've never seen that person.

...if your friend had been trying to set you up with someone for 6 months though, wouldn't you have at least asked to see a photo? Especially in this age of social media, where everyone has photos etc. on their phone... and especially if they were coming 'round your house(!)

I get what u mean but I think it is due to the lack interest of Dating men at all. The woman was very lonesome and I think she liked it that way.
