Hostel but...

...with less likeable characters. No one endangered really was worth saving except maybe Amy. But after a while her one note screaming of "f-you" and "you're crazy" began to annoy.

The lead actor who played the tattoo artist was the best thing about the film and he was the villain!

Acting was really bad and it seemed artificial, unnatural (except Robert LaSardo, of course), plot was bad, idea was good indeed, but scripting ruined it. Nice effects of creepy gore :D.

The young characters were completely unlikable. Their reactions were inconsistent, all over the place, they argued over nothing, behaved erratically, especially when they were looking for Amy. The Brit girl was so annoying. And the problem with this kind of movies is that you don't feel anything if the characters have no back story, background or redeeming qualities. Their lines were so bad and the acting was so mediocre that it all turned into a bloody mess. You nearly turn out to enjoy seeing them suffering because they're so stupid and unbearable.

for the young characters i did like Kelly. wish the artist had not killed her

Rob Zombie is one of the greatest directors today

I came into it expecting a weak "Hostile" clone but I didn't fully realize just how much of a clone it really was.

The basic idea was totally ripped off from "Hostile" but even the so-called twist about the 'friend' being involved was ripped from the Los Vegas "Hostile" movie and Amy changing 'teams' is kind of like the girl from the second movie who ended up joining the 'hunting' club (no hunting involved).

It's like all the "Hostile" movies where in some horrible "Star Trek" transporter accident and got fused into one movie.

LOL great analogy!

Thank you. I also forgot the street thugs were kind of like those kids in "Hostel" the ones who would ask for gum and then rob and kill you if you didn't have any, so there's another one. :)
