Only reason for the high grades is of course: the first pixar with a black lead. No way would they bash this one.

shareThe movie was a modest hit, and its soundtrack was nominated for being one of the better soundtracks for a film. Your opinion about it is just that---your opinion. I can't help but think you only bashing it because it has an African-American lead, which you rarely see in animated films. You also haven't specified exactly why you think it's so horrible---which leads me to think you just didn't like the fact that it wasn't about a white person, so get over yourself and admit that.

Hiring farmbots to boost iMDB scores has become quite usual during the last year. Netflix has been doing it for a while. A lot of Netflix series use to range from 8 to 9, no matter how shitty they are.
It's to be expected that Disney joins that practice. Chances are that high score is mostly due to farmbots.

shareIMDB has gotten quite good at getting rid of farm bots nowadays. I find that their scores more often than not match with my opinion of the movie.
