Should've been called Mammaltropolis or something...

I know I'm nitpicking a bit here, but ZOOtopia would naturally lead one to think that this was your typical world of anthropomorphic ANIMALS (not just mammals; since ZOOlogy is the study of the entire animal kingdom, whereas the mere study of MAMMALS specifically is called - surprise, surprise - MAMMALology!) not to mention with the whole TOPIA suffix being changed to TROPOLIS in Europe, due to the North American title already being given to an actual ZOO in Denmark specifically, you'd think Mammaltropolis (or even Mammaltopia for that matter) would've been a more appropriate for a more universal and plot-indicative title.

Phew! Sorry for my brief lament but this was one aspect of this film that was REALLY bugging me recently... 

Not saying you're wrong, but honestly...Zootopia/tropolis sounds a lot better than Mammaltopia/tropolis. Pretty sure that was one of the reasons they went with that title. It sounds better and has a nice ring to it.

Interestingly enough, since I posted the original post, there was a night that Judy's childhood bullies were an alligator and gecko (as opposed to a fox and ferret, respectively) and while, granted, giraffes DO appear in this movie, I dreamed the yak was a giraffe instead...

And while otherwise OT, my dream ALSO involved Garfield the cat having kittens and having to raise them w his mate...
