Why didn't Jenn pick up the bear spray again to save her fiancee?!??

LOL..she didn't even bother to pick up the bear spray again to repel the bear and save Alex's life! After the bear spray was knocked out of her hand she didn't even try to pick it up and just let the bear ear Alex! WTF??

Maybe she panicked...

I agree. It pissed me off as well. Just sitting there while the bear eats away on my love. I would rather toss myself off the nearest cliff than having that on my conscience for the rest of my life. I really hope they exaggerated the "true story" part in that scene for the dramatic effect.

Because im god, are you god to question my answer?

LOL..I know! It's like she was thinking "oh what the hell, just let the bear eat him!". 

Use the bear spray again you idiot! It worked the first time because the bear really retreated the first time she used it!

sure bear retreated but he came back for more.
she would soon run out of spray and their destiny would be fulfilled anyway.

I see these type of comments on sooooooooo many threads. why did the girl allow someone to die. I suspect the real reason is the poster feels inferior to women and imagines a hot girl is leaving him to die. so when he see's it happen in a movie he gets irritated.

Humans are pack hunters. To help someone belonging to our pack is a natural response to our ability to feel love and affection.

I hear ya. I couldn't even watch that scene. I liked that guy!

In the true story the woman died and the man stabbed it with his swiss army knife while it attacked her. However, if a bear grabbed my boyfriend out of a tent and I was panicking, and he told me to run with his last breath when he was clearly not going to make it, I probably would have stood there then taken off too. What was she supposed to do, wrestle it off of him??

They're coming to get you, Barbara!

The events in the movie are nothing like what happened. The girl died in real life and the guy got the bear in a headlock and started punching it and stabbing it with a swiss army. Then he took her body back to the kayak and found some other people at a campsite. She eventually died on the boat ride back.

Any time you see the words "based on a true story" you can guarantee that what you're seeing on screen is not what happened, I'm surprised people still fall for it.

It just means that it is inspired by a true story.

I'm sure any sane viewer was thinking the same bloody thing, cause I know I was. I hate when movies have mindless moments like this, it's just agrivating. Like, what did she do spray off the whole canister in that one blast? I doubt it unless it was a quarter full to begin with. I've read about bear spray being used on grizzlys, and it always worked. One guy ended up emptying out a full canister, so if that's wwhat it takes, that's what it takes. My point is, if it will work on grizzlys, one would think it would also work on a black bear.

Because she's has no street smarts. Probably grew up sheltered all her life and can't think for herself.

Bear spray goes quick and she had one lousy can! ONE! Those two were not prepared at all for danger.

Well, as my dad says: you can tell it's bear scatt (poop) by if it smells like pepper spray !

All joking aside though my brother bought a can of bear spray and he wanted to test it out just in case he needed to use it in a hurry, it has a 25 to 30 foot range on the spray so who knows how long a can of it actually lasts, especially with how much the spray saturates the target.

I just read up on some bear spray products, none of them really say they are for multiple uses, I did find a few that said the canister empties it's contents in just 5 seconds and they're your average sized canister, so I'm guessing that they have a limited spray time given the 30 foot range and amount of spray they have to expel to repel an angry bear.
