story is bad...and animation..damn..no good at all.
more like the plot is bad...the idea is pretty good actually. Animation wise,...what are you comparing it to? hollywood animation? japanese animation? if so, then you're never gonna like indonesia 2D animation for years to come. This I must say is a huge step for us though
sharethen compare it to what? upin ipin or maybe sopo jarwo animation is better than this IMO (i know it's different animation type). if you keep your benchmark low then you can't become world class. before the maker make their own movie why not become subcontractor to another animation house to learn something? CMIIW, some thai or korean animation house is take part on japanese anime. even before founding ghibli, miyazaki is working for another animation house. this movie background is good, but the animation ruin it. i agree with you that the idea is good but the story is disaster

IMHO, I don't think that Sopo Jarwo was smoothly animated, but the new Upin - Ipin is kinda .. well.. quite good.
I compared to 50's Disney Movie. Not 90's or even 21 Century animation.
