Can't compare the two. Apples to Oranges. SAO started out as an anime trapped in a video game but that was only for half a season. Just another layer to this great story they're trying to share. Each arc just unfolds another layer to see the bigger picture.

Log Horizon started out slow but I kept at it and it finally paid off. I really like it a lot but SAO is still a little better.

About even actually. Both have potential to be great, but end up falling to pieces. This series does what SAO fails to do, but fails at what SAO succeeds in. In LH, there is way too much info dumping, way too many characters and the plot is not coherent in the slightest; no direction whatsoever.

Different sure and I`am finding the story more engrossing but with SAO I felt(for the first half) that the consequences were greater because of the dead is dead issue ..

I agree over all. SoA started off with a bang but very quickly became lame.
