nothing bad on this movie

I guess people just expect to much, before they watched it they already made the opinion because they it was not Jason Stratham....SO WHAT? movie was still cool to me, most of the time people used to something and when it is changed they already have made up their mind before knowing anything and already will rate it bad for sure

Movie was good even had his funny moments (coffee machine..that was a juicer)

This movie is boring, insulting, un-funny, dumb, stupid...the only good thing in it is Ray Stevenson, but he's too good for this garbage.

Yea, this movie was bad and just didn't make much sense even if you suspended you're imagination.

I am just saying, this guy is suppose to be the best at what he does, but, falls in love with this chick he met only a few hours before, and someone that gave his father a potentially deadly liquid?!

reply

I agree. I actually enjoyed it. It was a fun movie to be honest. I had expected it to be alot worse. I was pleasantly surprised.

reply

Me too. After sitting through those horrible "Mtv" style fight scenes in The Transporter 3 I wasn't expecting much. I'd give it a 7/10. I've seen much worse.

reply

Everything about this movie is bad.

While I wouldn't categorize the movie as good, I though it was alright, I do agree with your assessment that a lot of people seem to hate it since it's not Jason Statham. If you view it as it's own thing, it's far from the worst movie in existence, and not even the worst movie of the year. Overall I agree with the imdb score, though it'd make for more interesting discussion to also hear from people who thought the movie was good, or at least average.

I always give all movies a chance.
However, when the lead desperately tries to look like the "original" character, it opens itself to be compared.
Unfortunately, the role of the Transporter was done first and most memorable by Statham. Whenever Skrein tries to do the raspy voice (with that annoying accent) and martial moves, he ends up looking robotic, and the (many) one-liners and other fast-paced jokes are not enjoyable.
The epileptic camera works is another thing that annoys me.

For the people discussing how good of an actor Statham really is, it doesnt matter. The role fitted him perfectly and the new guy tries to emulate the same role instead of giving it a new life.

Its like trying to get another actor to play Riddick instead of Vin Diesel. Yeah, he is not the greatest actor... but the role fits him perfectly. (or the other way around).

Thats my two cents.

I agree that Skrein just isn't Stratham (and he is an idiot for leaving Game of Thrones for this...). He does an ok job, but I wish Stratham had done this.

But this movie gets complaints about not being realistic. For having a stupid plot. And on and on and on... Seriously, have the complainers ever watched Transporter 2 and 3?! Those had worse plots, the action scenes weren't as good (at least in Transporter 3), and they were seriously unrealistic. The only thing they had going for themselves were Stratham.

Flew long haul this week so had plenty of chill time - I really liked it. I Went in to it with an open mind. I'm. Huge Statham fan, Jason has moved on, so it's time for some new blood. Watch it as if it's a new a Film, not a follow on. You'll get a lot out of it, action, car chases, femme fatale, tongue in cheek humour...... it ends with a great opportunity to make a 2nd, well done to Ed Skrein.

reply

I went into it thinking I'd hate it as I am a major Statham fan.

But, it's actually pretty good, and I think Skrein is a good replacement. Of course I always favor Statham but I actually like Skrein who I had never heard of before. Loan Chabaral lends major sex appeal to this with her sassiness.

Adding Ray Stevenson was great, and the girls add more sex appeal.

Yes, unrealistic things galore but if you ever watched any previous Transporters and are complaining that is on YOU as you know it will be in this.

I actually ended up liking a nice change of pace with Skrein. And as usual, the car is a thing of beauty.

I hope more are on the way. I still love The Transporter franchise.

It was a horrible film and that has nothing to do with Jason Statham not being in it. The story was ridiculous the fight scenes were ridiculous the acting was horrid

reply

Wasn't the 3rd installment's story ridiculous also where the villain could have transported the package himself?
