The new monty python?

Well maybe not but there program's do make me laugh. Even though their program's are ment for kids their are definite adult undertones.

this is hilarious. I just done watching the first 2 eps. so funny.
love the elder with the voice that sounds a bit like Julian clary... cracks me up everytime he says anything.. especially 'duh..bee'...

I don't think its aimed at kids at all... its family entertainment.. a lot of the jokes would go over kids heads and if anything its more geared towards older folk... the kids can just laugh at the puppets.

Yeah "dee-bee" vfunny! also the one who keeps saying "take of these cumbersome robes". This is family entertainment for sure but have you seen horrible historys? Their funny in that too and that is aimed at kids.

reply

haha yeah hes hilarious as well. I never saw horrible history no... but from what ive heard I think that probably was more aimed at kids than this is.

Its in a similar vein to Horrible Histories, then again its form the same team.

Its a mixture of Python and the Holy Grail mixed with Police Squad/Airplane with some BBC children's drama.

I tried watching this when it came out ,got to episode two and decided it wasn't that great and was odd.
I've seen trailer for second series due out later this month and my husband and I thought it was funny so download the first.
Oh my...
Why on earth did I not get it the first time around ?! Damn funny . Monty python meets Robin Hood (shown on BBC many moons ago ). It's great to find something kids can watch but adult stuff too they wouldn't understand . Shrek style !
Definitely eager to watch second one now.

The people who made the live action Horrible Histories series 1-5 and those among them who went on to do Yonderland and Bill are flat-out great actors and dramatists. The sketches in HH had to go through a lot of thematic and emotional gradients, from slapstick to heartfelt reverence, and they did it all pretty much without a hitch. Not to put down the Pythons, who excel at what they do, but I think the HH-Yonderland team goes a whole lot deeper and has a lot more chops.
