In the book, Gabriel took old George (the sheepdog) with him, of course. In the film, Bathsheba sent for him as a surprise. Huh! As if. Also i was worried about the bear, and treatment of the sheep. But the horses were beautiful.

I could have done without Gabriel shooting young George. The poor dog didn't know what he did wrong.

I didn't like Gabriel after that scene, I almost stop watching the movie 

Near the end of the movie what dog was it that Mr. Boltwood gave Gabriel and Gabriel was pleasantly surprised to see it as if it was his old dog - and Gabriel called it Georgie?
