Caitlin vs. Violet
Something really puzzles me about the 1914 flashback scene; Why exactly didn't Tommy Murphy want Violet? She was far from unattractive.
I think that Tommy Murphy had looked at Caitlin O'Leary through the eyes of love, rather than simply lust. So even though Violet was just as lovely looking, perhaps more so, to those who prefer brunettes, he only had eyes for Caitlin.
