Confused

I only caught most of it. It seemed like the bleached blonde hustler boy had a previous trice with the clean cut kid. Even more confusing, when I search for actor who plated clean cut kid, they both look like the bleached blonde and neither has that preppy William McNamara / Ricky Nelson look like the guy who got knocked out by the crazy dad in this. What gives?
