wow people here blaming the husband ???

Facking clueless .the cops were pusies but most of all I blame the liberal attitude of the parole board the blood is on their hands

reply

I agree about the Parole Board.

However, in their defense, the two criminals really were not very likely candidates for this type of crime. I believe they were both petty burglars (probably financing their drug habits). Going by all statistical odds, these two were not likely candidates to graduate from petty burglars to capital murderers.

Well they did. With ease.

reply

Yes, you are correct. They certainly did.

My point was simply that they were statistically improbable to do so.

In other words, the Parole Board had absolutely no inclination whatsoever that these petty burglars (slash drug addicts) would graduate to capital murder. And, realistically, how could they possibly know?

reply

The creeper listening to people sleep seemed likely to escalate...

reply

I don't know about that. Being a Peeping Tom and/or a voyeur is a far cry from murder. I think.

reply

Inside the home? That's not just a voyeur that's someone testing the fence...

reply

I dunno. It's certainly creepy, of course. And whoever does it is certainly "not right in the head". No doubt. I guess I see it as more of a sexual fetish (with female victims) and a power play or power trip (with male victims, as well as female victims). I really don't see it as a pre-cursor to murder. Or any form of violence, really.

If I recall correctly, he was just a small-time petty burglar. And, if I recall correctly, his prior crimes had no violence - just thieving and drugging. No?

reply

Yes, but then there were both his wife and her father saying that he was a pedophile - that only seemed like a matter of time till he progressed.

His wife and her father said that? That he is a pedophile? Wow, I missed that altogether. Where did that come up?

reply

Josh asked her father for her hand in marriage. The father objected, telling Josh it was on the basis he was a career criminal and he was a pedophile. The father in law discussed it near the beginning.

OK. I'd have to re-watch the film. It's been quite a while.

But did the girlfriend herself also call him a pedophile?

Also: Is she a girlfriend or a wife? Or an ex-wife? Did they ever get married?
